Grease!

Both kids participated in the fall production of Grease! Eden was a Juke Box Jiver and did the opening number. Carter played a T-bird named Roger and did a duet with another T-bird...and I was pretty amazed. He's singing is really getting impressive. I don't know who enjoyed it more, the kids or me. We all grew somewhat tired of the rehearsals but the shows were so fun and made it so worth it. Here's Eden doing her "thang," Eden with the gal that played Frenchy, and Carter...doing his "thang." Notice the heavy makeup...I think that was Eden's favorite part!

Concert #3 - Wowwee!!

Our final concert was Monday, December 10th and I scored 4 tickets to the hottest selling show in all cities across the country. I was able to get Hannah Montana tickets at presale. We were in upper level exactly 32 seconds into that presale and I couldn't figure out what went wrong. Only later did I discover that I held the golden tickets! The kids AND the adults were pretty excited to be some of the few that got to see this show. It was FABULOUS! That teeny-bopper danced and sang her heart out. She had more costume changes that Cher. The stage was very cool with lights and screen showing images and fireworks and confetti. Eden got a Hannah shirt to wear to school the next day. It wasn't a cheap night but it was pretty priceless.

Concert #2

The next show on the agenda was High School Musical on Ice and it was a really good show. I wish our seats would have been a little closer to the ice but we could still see everything. It was held at the new Sprint Center, same place as Garth Brooks and you are not allowed to take a professional camera. Nothing with a removable lens is allowed. So we were stuck with the crappy point-and-shoot. But professional photographer Greg has skills, I must say and we got some good shots regardless. This concert was on Sunday afternoon. Wait until I tell you about the next one!

Concert #1

It's been a while since I've posted but we've been busy. November was the Garth Brooks concert in Kansas City on the 11th and then I had my gallbladder out on the 12th. I was worried I would be too uncomfortable to enjoy the concert but I had a really good time. No beer for me, though...I had to be at the hospital at 6:30am. Here's the picture from the show...I'll spare you the picture from the surgery!
